Austin Series Set For Dresden

Dresden Raceway racing action

The first leg of the Mark Austin Pacing Series is set to go for this Sunday afternoon (May 29) at Dresden Raceway.

Two divisions will go postward on Sunday in honour of the prominent trainer who passed away in 2014. Austin was known throughout the harness racing industry as not just a top-notch horseman but also a great person.

Austin was repsonsible for breaking Hall of Famer A Worthy Lad and continued on to train many of the top horses in the country.

Im A Stable Genius should be the favourite of the first division of young pacers. The Bettors Delight gelding is owned by Karry Howard and trained by Jeff Graham.

Doc Houston, ironically named after Austin's friend Ken Houston, should be the favourite to win the second division. The Sportswriter gelding is owned by John Gould and Jack Wray while Wray is the conditioner.

As usual there will be many great prizes and draws for fans at the track. First post time for Sunday is slated for 1:00 p.m.  To view the entries, click the following link: Sunday Entries - Dresden Raceway.
