Applications are now available for three scholarships offered by the Harness Horse Youth Foundation (HHYF).

Completed applications are not due until June 1, but early submission is encouraged. Click here to access the applications and each scholarship’s eligibility requirements and general information.

The HHYF scholarships include the newly-created Harold & Marcia Snyder Memorial Scholarship with the intent to assist individuals and the families that make up the harness racing industry; the Curt Greene Memorial Scholarship for students who have demonstrated a passion for harness racing and have financial need; and the Sweet Karen Scholarship for alumni of HHYF Summer Programs.

HHYF has awarded over $630,000 in scholarship grants since 1976.

“HHYF is pleased to partner with David Snyder of International Sound Corporation, the sponsor of the Snyder Memorial Scholarship," said Allison Conte, HHYF president. "With the changing educational models, HHYF scholarships are even more important for students, whether they are seeking a technical, associate or bachelor degree. More students having the opportunity to receive assistance can only make harness racing better.”

HHYF executive director Ellen Taylor will be happy to answer specific questions regarding the HHYF scholarships and/or the listing of racing-related scholarships. She may be contacted by email at [email protected] or by phone 317-908-0029.
