Keeling Kicks Off 2012 With Training Triple

Cambridge conditioner Mike Keeling kicked off the New Year with immediate success, scoring three wins in four starts during his 2012 debut on Friday night at Western Fair Raceway

.

Keeling's first starter, House Of Cash ($3.40), set the tone for his evening with a four and a half length score in the opener. The horsemen also picked up a victory mid-program with Sugar Wheeler ($3.20) winning the fifth race by three and a half lengths. Quantum Victoria ($35.90) pulled off an upset later in the 10th event to give Keeling the training triple. Ross Battin drove all three winners.

Keeling, who fell just $87 short of recording his second million dollar season in 2011, has won 267 races and over $5.25 million in purses lifetime.

His productive Friday night leaves him with a .750 training average to start the New Year.
