A Pick-5 carryover at Yonkers Raceway on Tuesday night (Sept. 14) lured $178,998 of new money as horseplayers flocked to the two-card carryover of $41,168.32 in the pool.

Two post eight winners during the sequence spiced the potential for another carryover, and there was one horse uncovered in the final leg, along with two that would have given one ticket the entire pool. However, 7-5 favourite Larry Lincoln N prevailed to cap off the Pick 5 in Race 9, resulting in a five-out-of-five payout of $4,389.25.

While the Pick 5 was solved, the Pick 6 was elusive, and there will be a carryover of $1,965.20 in that bet on Wednesday night’s (Sept. 15) card at Yonkers. The 11-race program gets underway at 7:15 p.m. (EDT).
