A break from odds-on favourite Sebastian U poised Warrawee Vicky for an upset win in a $15,000 two-year-old trotting event at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Tuesday, June 25.

The Royalty For Life filly floated into second as pylon-starter Tuckers Out edged to the front moving towards a :30.4 opening quarter. Owner-trainer-driver Robbie Robinson then pulled pocket and circled Warrawee Vicky to the top before a 1:01 half. The two then faced far-turn pressure from Urs Ifu Want It, who tipped first over from third, passing three-quarters in 1:31.1 but kicked clear in the stretch to win by three-and-a-quarter lengths in 1:59.3. Urs Ifu Want It held second from Tuckers Out while Sebastian U finished seventh.

An $11,000 purchase at last year’s London Selected Sale, Warrawee Vicky starts her career with $7,500 earned. She paid $23.00 to win.
