Trot Insider has learned that driver James MacDonald will be off his drives scheduled for Thursday and Friday night at Woodbine Racetrack, and possibly longer.

MacDonald suffered a dislocated shoulder in an off-track incident. His status for Saturday remains uncertain until he receives results from an ultrasound performed on the shoulder. Trot Insider will provide an update on MacDonald's status beyond Friday's races when available.

The 29-year-old Guelph resident sits sixth in Canada in earnings with more than $3.7 million in purses for the season. He's also sixth on the WEG circuit this year in both wins (137) and purses ($3.079 million).
