Bring A Friend Rolls Into Sunday

Five Canadian racetracks round out the Bring A Friend national promotion on Sunday, July 12. This includes Century Downs, Clinton Raceway, Rideau Carleton Raceway, St. John’s Racing & Entertainment Center and Truro Raceway.

Century Downs is a new participant to Bring A Friend this year as a part of their first season at the Rocky View, Alberta oval. The first race goes to post at 2:00 p.m. on July 12 with a variety of promotions trackside for racing guests. There will be a t-shirt toss after each race, draws for starting gate rides throughout the afternoon and a betting basics course on hand for those new to wagering. The Alberta Plainsman Final for three-year-old colt pacers will be contested on the afternoon card, for a lucrative purse of more than $50,000. Century Downs will also be hosting live entertainment throughout the card, putting together an afternoon that won’t disappoint!

Clinton Raceway will host Bring a Friend on Sunday, July 12 with an afternoon card kicking off at 1:15 p.m. in Clinton, Ontario. Free programs and $2 bets will be on hand for the first 50 guests, as well as draws throughout the night. Prizes include winner’s circle presentations and behind the scenes tours, as well as bounce back coupons for free programs and $2 bets. Under the grandstand, they will be serving up a Pineridge chicken barbecue from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in conjunction with a silent auction for two tickets to anywhere Air Canada flies.

Rideau Carleton Raceway in Gloucester, Ontario will open its gates at 4:00 p.m. for a night of racing action starting at 6:30 p.m. The first 100 guests will receive discounts on food and there will be draws throughout the night for rides in the starting gate car. The track will also be conducting a variety of prize draws, giveaways and offering tip sheets for bettors.

Bring A Friend makes its debut in Newfoundland this year at St. John’s Racing & Entertainment Center with the gates opening at noon for a 2:00 p.m. card of racing. There will be prize draws throughout the card, free programs and $2 bets for the first 50 registered check ins as well as draws for rides in the starting gate car, winner’s circle presentations, paddock and behind-the-scenes tours.

Truro Raceway in Truro, Nova Scotia will host Bring A Friend on Sunday, July 12, going to post at 1:00 p.m. There will be draws throughout the night with many exciting prizes to give away! There will also be free tip sheets and bet help reps to answer any questions regarding wagering action.
