Bring A Friend Weekend Continues

Five Canadian racetracks are hosting the Bring a Friend promotion on Saturday. These include Hanover Raceway, Hiawatha Horse Park, Kawartha Downs, Mohawk Racetrack and Northside Downs. Each track has pulled out all the stops to offer a fantastic day at the races!

Every race night at Hanover Raceway offers something special and Saturday, July 11 is no exception. As a part of Bring a Friend, they will offer draws throughout the night for rides in the starting gate car, winner’s circle presentations, paddock tours and behind-the-scenes tours. Saturday is also Ladies Night, with special prizes from “My Scissors and I” and the “Flower Shoppe and Greenhouses” for ladies in attendance. The first race goes to post at 7:15 p.m.

Hiawatha Horse Park in Sarnia, Ontario will open its gates at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. card stacked with exciting racing. Fans will have the chance to enter a variety of draws for excellent prizes. Additional draws for rides in the starting gate car, winner’s circle presentations, paddock tours and behind-the-scenes tours will take place throughout the night.

Fraserville, Ontario is home to Kawartha Downs and the gates will open on Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. with racing to follow at 7:00 p.m. The track is offering free programs for guests, tip sheets and a free $2 bet for new fans to make their wagering debuts. There will also be prize draws and additional draws for rides in the starting gate, winner’s circle presentations, paddock tours and more!

Mohawk Racetrack will be hosting Bring a Friend in conjunction with their Saturday night card. Gates open at 6:25 p.m. and the first race goes to post at 7:25 p.m. Ontario Sires Stakes Gold action will hit the Campbellville, Ontario oval with the first leg for two-year-old colt and gelding pacers going for $210,000. They will also be contesting the finals of both the summertime and Town Pro series. There will be a meet and greet with some of Ontario’s top drivers trackside, as well as free programs for the first 100 guests and free $2 bets.

As a part of Mohawk Summer Nights, racing fans will have the chance to drive a racehorse. Each Saturday, fans will have the opportunity to sit in a double-seated jogger and tour the racetrack. To sign up, visit the Customer Service desk.

Bring a Friend comes to North Sydney, Nova Scotia this year at Northside Downs! Gates open at 10:00 a.m. with racing kicking off at 1:00 p.m. The day will start off with a meet and greet with some of the track’s top drivers, free programs for the first 20 guests and a free $2 bet for the first 30 guests. There will also be draws throughout the card for rides in the starting gate car, behind the scenes tours and more!

Registration closes at 3:00 p.m. the day prior to the event (July 10). Those who pre-register will be entered in for a draw to win a prize package valued at $200! Grab your friends and head out to the races on Saturday!
