The I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club’s July Zoom theme is 'Friends at the Track' and ties in with The Bring A Friend promotion that is taking place nationwide from July 9 to 12.

Twelve tracks are hosting exciting events and activities for racing fans and their guests!

We’re looking for photos that depict you and your friends trackside during the Bring A Friend promotion. It could be a shot of your friend placing their first bet, cheering on a horse or taking part in the various activities hosted at the tracks. It can be a shot of anything that captures the exciting four-day event in Canadian harness racing.

Submit your entries by July 27 to [email protected]! A committee will select a handful of the best entries, which will be included in a poll on SC’s website. The club will also post the entries on its Facebook page. Readers will then have the chance to vote for the photo they like the best.

The monthly winner will receive a great Fan Club Swag Prize package ($50 value) and the six monthly winners will be eligible to win a Grand Prize, which will include a $50 gift card to the racetrack of their choice and an enlargement of their winning photo framed or plaque mounted.

LET’S ALL DO OUR PART THIS WEEKEND!

Do you consider yourself an advocate or promoter of harness racing? Register for the Bring A Friend national promotion and bring a friend or two, or more, to the races during the weekend of July 9-12, and you’ll have a chance to win a prize package valued at $200. You have up until 3:00 p.m. the day before your track’s event to register.

When you register, you will have a chance to win a great prize package. There will be a draw for all of the people who pre-register, with one lucky person winning a $100 betting voucher or gift card for the racetrack of his/her choice, $50 gift card for the Fan Club Swag Store and a $50 TrackIT credit.

The Bring A Friend promotion is a challenge for everyone involved in the industry – SC members, racing fans, commission licensees, trades people, etc. – to bring a friend to the harness races on this weekend.

Let’s help to make a good first impression for our friends. Consider this a call to action, as the greatest assets to harness racing are those who live and love it every day. You can make a difference; we can all make a difference. This is one weekend where we challenge everyone in the industry. The promotion only works if the masses are mobilized and each and every one of us does our part.

So, take this opportunity. Bring A Friend to the races, or better yet bring a group!
