Thursday, June 12, 2014 marks the date of Ontario's General Election, with the province's horse racing industry classified by mainstream media as a campaign issue.

Standardbred Canada sent a list of questions to Ontario's three main party leaders prior to Thursday's election Those questions were designed to give each party the chance to directly address the province's horse racing industry after two-plus years of uncertainty.

The responses received from the provincial party representatives follows, ordered by the date the response was received by SC.

Numerous provincial candidates have also pledged ongoing support for the province's horse racing industry. A list of those candidates published by OHRIA on or prior to June 11, 2014 is available at this link:
