Ed Lechner Passes
The backstretch at Fraser Downs is once again saddened with the sudden passing of trainer/driver Ed Lechner.
Lechner, 71, suffered a massive heart attack on February 28 while feeding his horses at his farm in Aldergrove, B.C.
The family will pass on details for a celebration of life sometime in April.

Ed was always a friendly
Ed was always a friendly person, who started into the business like many enjoying the success of their first horse, then growing into the business as the years went on . Today he is still racing with all his friends from Fraser Downs, only the stories being told by "Bob", "Sugar", "Don" and others may leave a little to the imagination.
