ORC Rules On Four Appeals

On Wednesday, December 4, the Ontario Racing Commission released its rulings on appeals by Gerry Belanger, Danny Girard, Doug McNair and George Plyley.

In regard to Gerry Belanger, the ORC denied his appeal and upheld the decision of the ORC judges. Belanger’s three-day driving suspension was served November 25, 26 and 27, inclusive. To read an official copy of the ruling, click here.

In regard to Danny Girard, the ORC denied his appeal, but varied the fine. To read an official copy of the ruling, click here.

In regard to Doug McNair, the ORC denied his appeal, therefore the penalty of $500 and the 15-day driving suspension is upheld. Suspension dates are December 2 to 16, 2013, inclusive. To read an official copy of the ruling, click here.

In regard to George Plyley, who failed to appear for his hearing, the ORC dismissed his appeal and upheld the ORC judges’ fine of $200. The matter has been referred to the ORC’s deputy director for follow up. To read an official copy of the ruling, click here.
