Horwath To Table Non-Binding Motion
The Ontario New Democratic Party has announced that it will table an Opposition Day motion at Queen’s Park today (Wednesday, November 20) calling for the reinstatement of the Slots at Racetracks Program.
The non-binding motion will be debated and voted on in the legislature today.

Reinstate The Slots-At-Racetracks Program: NDP Leader Andrea Horwath
Today NDP Leader Andrea Horwath will push the government to protect horseracing in Ontario by tabling the following Opposition Day motion to reinstate the Slots-at-Racetracks program.
The motion will be debated and voted on in the Legislature later today:
“… The Legislative Assembly calls on the Government to re-instate and maintain the SARP program unless and until a new revenue sharing program is developed in consultation with affected communities, industry and stakeholders; and
That all existing and future racetrack audits be published to ensure that funds are dispersed to the horse racing industry in a fair and transparent process. Addressed to the Premier of Ontario.”

The Liberals won't support it
The Liberals won't support it but what about " Mikie" Whodat? After all it was his puppeteer Mike Harris that originated SARP!
Cheap talk and posturing is
Cheap talk and posturing is all this is about. The Liberals failed to administer SARP properly by not acting on the Sadinsky report in 2008 and then they just wanted it to go away with it's 2500 jobs, so they thought.
I am the first to be
I am the first to be skeptical, however if the Conservatives vote for it, then even though it is non-binding, the Liberals would be hard pressed to deny the will of the parliament.
Quite frankly, I think the Liberals are looking for a way out of this mess. If the Liberals support it, the first round is on me.
