Traceur Hanover Tops Final Session

The final session of the Harrisburg Yearling Sale took place earlier today, with Traceur Hanover checking in as the daily sale topper.

Hip 1067 Traceur Hanover was purchased by Richard Berthiaume of Pointe-Aux-Trembles, Quebec for $100,000. The son of Western Ideal is the first colt produced by the mare Transference. She’s already produced the fillies Tanzanite Hanover (1:57.2 - $51,691) and Text Me Hanover (1:55.4 - $39,412).

Hip 1003 Monarch Bluechip went to Sam Schillaci of Macedonia, Ohio for $90,000. The Crazed-Reven Crown colt is the three-quarter brother to NYSS winner, Rolls Blue Chip (1:56 - $117,978).

Hip 1050 Mckenry was purchased for $82,000 by Chris Oakes of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The son of Mcardle-Sweet Meant To Be is a half-brother to OSS graduate Grand Bend Turbo (1:50 - $806,006), Meant To Be Me (1:49.1 - $659,333) and the speedy free-legged performer Hurtin Albertan (1:51.1 - $139,464).

Hip 1034 Mafia Blue Chip was a $75,000 purchase by agent Chris Ryder of Allentown, New Jersey. The Bettors Delight-Weeping Wanabe filly is a full sister to the multiple NYSS winner, Asteria Blue Chip (1:53.1 - $236,539) and a half-sister to the speedy No Monkeys Allowed (1:50.3 - $217,129).

The 265 yearlings that went through the ring today reached gross sale of $4,830,500. That translated into an average price of $18,228. In total, 1047 yearlings sold over the course of the last four days for gross sales of $35,959,500. The average sale price for the yearling portion of the sale was $34,345.

In 2012, a total of 1,162 yearlings went through the ring with gross sales of $33,568,500 and an average sale price of $28,889.

The Mixed Sale will take place on Friday and Saturday.
