With the Air Quality Health Index forecast at 'High Risk' for parts of Ontario, Grand River Raceway, Kawartha Downs and Woodbine Mohawk Park have cancelled previously scheduled harness racing cards slated for Friday, June 30.

GRAND RIVER CANCELS FRIDAY CARD

With the Air Quality Health Index forecasting 'High Risk' in the Elora, Ont. area for the day, Grand River Raceway has cancelled racing slated for Friday, June 30. This decision is consistent with the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario air quality index recommendations.  

Racing resumes at Grand River on Monday, July 3 at 6:30 p.m.

KAWARTHA CANCELS FRIDAY CARD

Officials with Kawartha Downs have cancelled the card of live harness racing slated for Friday, June 30 at the Peterborough, Ont. oval.

The air quality forecast for Petebrough is projected to be 'High Risk' at 7 for Friday evening. Consistent with the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario's air quality guidelines, Kawartha cancelled the Friday night card.

Live racing is scheduled to resume on Saturday, July 8.

MOHAWK CANCELS FRIDAY QUALIFIERS AND RACING

With the air quality index for Milton, Ont. measuring at ‘High Risk’, Woodbine has cancelled the qualifiers and live harness racing cards slated for Friday, June 30 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Horses scheduled to qualify this morning can re-enter to qualify on Tuesday. The entry box closes Monday morning at 10:30 a.m.

The Ontario Sires Stakes Gold event for three-year-old trotting fillies scheduled for Friday's card has now been shifted to Thursday, July 6.

Live harness racing is scheduled to resume on Saturday, July 1 with first post at 7 p.m. Woodbine will continue to monitor the conditions and provide further updates as required.
