Blooded Horse Summer Mixed Sale Concludes

Racing Rampage winning on Aug. 19 at Scioto Downs

The 67th annual Blooded Horse Summer Mixed Sale was held on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at the Champions Center in Springfield, Ohio with a yearling brother to rising Ohio stakes star Racing Rampage among the sale toppers.

Selling as Hip 48, Rose Run Zizi topped the yearling portion of the sale, selling for $35,000 to Gregory Luther of Blacklick, Ohio. Bred by Rose Run Farm, the Domethatagain colt is out of the Western Terror mare Sebring Blue Chip. He is a half-brother to Racing Rampage (pictured above), a two-year-old son of Racing Hill who has won four consecutive Ohio stakes this summer while banking $117,940 from his first five starts.

The co-sale topper was three-year-old pacing colt Youremyobsession, Hip 114, purchased for $35,000 by Brandon Bartley of Pickerington, Ohio. The Sweet Lou-Art Obsession gelding departs the Ron Burke stable with a career summary reading 4-3-2 from 21 starts and earnings totalling $33,461. He took his mark of 1:52.4 at The Meadows on July 30.
