Trot Insider has learned that former owner, breeder and horseman Osler Burrison passed away peacefully at the Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg, Ont. on Monday

, January 23. He was in his 90th year.

Beloved husband of the late Laura Burrison (nee Hillier). Dear father of Shirley MacDonald (Jim), Sandy Gutteridge (Paul), Pat Webb (Rick) and Shelly Davey (Brian). Dear brother of Sheila Staples, Carmen Bell and Isobel Hie (Donnie).

Friends are invited to a Celebration of Osler’s Life on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Harwood Hall, Harwood. Those wishing may make donations to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society or the Shelter of Hope through the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Cobourg (905-372-5132).
