Horseman Trond Smedshammer will either be ‘In The Sulky’ or up in the air this Thursday

Smedshammer will be the In The Sulky guest Thursday, May 12 on the Meadowlands Racetrack’s pre-race show if he is not catching an airplane to his native Norway that evening.

Smedshammer, who is planning to race Arch Madness in the Oslo Grand Prix on Sunday, May 16, has had issues in getting his visa updated and approved by the Norwegian government.

"I could fly there, but I don't know if I could fly back, which is a chance I can't take," the driver-trainer said. "We've pushed as hard as we can push, but haven't heard anything yet. If we can get it taken care of, I'll be on a plane Thursday to Norway. If not, I'll be at the Meadowlands on Thursday night."
