The depth of the 2010 three-year-old pacing crop is not lost on the trainer of World Record holder One More Laugh, whose impressive freshman campaign garnered him an impressive ranking

for Trot Magazine's Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book.

Throughout the course of the week, the SC website will countdown to the Spring Book favourite, complete with updates from the trainers on the pacers that Trot staff assessed as the leading contenders for the richest prize in Canadian harness racing. Watch for the full list of Spring Book odds in the April issue of Trot Magazine.

With odds of 12-1, One More Laugh comes in at #4 in the NA Cup Spring Book Top 10. Trot Insider discussed the colt's comeback with co-owner and trainer Ray Schnittker.

Where did he winter?

"Right here at my farm in Goshen, New York."

When did you start back with him?

"We brought him back the second week of January."

Where are you at with him right now?

"He paced in 1:57 at the Meadowlands this morning (April 1, 2010)."

Have you noticed any changes from last year to this year?

"There's not much change in him, he's a good size this year and he filled out some. The way they feed these colts they don't grow too much from two to three."

When will he qualify?

"We'll aim to qualify in about three weeks, likely twice...maybe three times. This guy has always been ready to roll so he doesn't need too many qualifiers."

What will his early schedule look like leading up to the Pepsi NA Cup?

"The Max Hempt will be the first start and I'm not entirely sure what comes next but I think it's the Burlington and then the NA Cup. This group should be a lot of fun to watch."
