$1.79-million winning Western Ace came on strong for a 1:51.3 victory in the $31,000 Open Pace on a damp and rainy Monday, February 22 over a track labeled "sloppy" at Dover Downs

. Real Image won the $29,000 Four-Year-Old Open and Thats Justice took the $24,000 Winners-Over Pace. Tim Tetrick and Ron Pierce won four races each.

Montrell Teague took Western Ace three-wide around the final turn and then zoomed past the leaders reaching the finish line in 1:51.3 with a couple of lengths to spare to win the week's top pacing event. The win was the second of the year for the Western Ideal-Alice Alice gelding. It was his 27th career success lifting his career earnings to $1,814,575 for owners Kovach Stables and Teague Inc. Kentucky Rebel, in his second start of the year for Mike Cole, was a strong second. Blissfull Silence, with Tim Tetrick, finished third.

Real Image, piloted by Ron Pierce for his third of four wins, overtook Denim Hanover and Tim Tetrick in deep stretch to post a 1:52.3 victory in the $29,000 Four-Year-Old Open Pace. David Rovine and Baron Racing Stable own the Real Desire-Shy Reflection gelding, now a winner of three of seven 2010 starts. Light Up The Sky came on for Montrell Teague for show honours.

In the $24,000 Winners-Over Pace, Thats Justice made good use of starting from Post 1. Vince Copeland took the Village Jove-Power Persuasion gelding owned by Tim Lancaster to the front at the quarter and set the entire fraction in a 1:52.1 mile. Southwind Lynx, in his first start since 2008, moved to the outside on the backstretch for Tim Tetrick, but could not wear down the winner and settled for second. Fifth Wave was third for Jon Roberts.
