Artzina To Stand Stud In 2010

It has been announced that Artzina, the 2006 Nova and Dan Patch Two-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year, will be standing stud during the 2010 breeding season

Winbak Farm of Delaware has announced that it will be standing Artzina.

The son of Artiscape compiled an impressive two-year-old campaign. He won the New Jersey Sire Stakes Championship, Goshen Cup, the elimination and final of the Matron, a Metro Pace elim, Woodrow Wilson elim, and a Breeders Crown elim. Artzina went on to finish third in the Breeders Crown final.

At three, Artzina came back competitive in the New Jersey Sire Stakes, winning two legs, and was second in the James B. Dancer Memorial and Battle of the Brandywine. He won the Isle of Capri at four.

“Artzina will be a great addition to our stallion line up in Delaware,” Winbak Farm of Delaware general manager Garrett Bell said. “He offers early speed, conformation, prestige and the breeding I think this state is looking for. It is hard to go wrong with the Artiscape/Artsplace line.”

Artzina will be standing for $4,500 in 2010.
