Monticello Cancels Monday Card

Officials with Monticello Raceway have announced that the track has been forced to cancel its card of live harness racing that was scheduled for Monday (Dec. 2).

The cancellation has come due to a severe winter storm that is impacting the area.

The storm has led to hazardous driving conditions for horsepeople, patrons and employees, and thus the Monday card has been cancelled.

The draw for this Thursday’s program of racing will be conducted on Tuesday (Dec. 3) and the entry box will close at 9 a.m.

Live racing and simulcasting will resume on Tuesday (Dec. 3). First-race post time will be at 12:25 p.m.
