Claiming pacer Lisvinnie toted a three-race winning streak into his Monday evening assignment at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and another gritty effort helped the veteran stretch his streak to four in a row.

Lisvinnie, who was sent off as the 6-5 choice in his quest to keep the ball rolling, got away sixth for driver Jody Jamieson who watched Big Petes Style lay down first-half fractions of :26.3 and :56.2.

Lisvinnie was on the move first-over in the backstretch, and he was second and driving at the lead on the way to the half. Lisvinnie muscled his way to the lead around the turn and opened up a two-length lead on his rivals at the three-quarter pole in 1:24.3. A :28.1 kicker was enough to earn him the win by 1-1/2 lengths over Aphro Star in 1:52.4. Needlecrest rounded out the Trifecta ticket.

Corey Johnson trains the eight-year-old son of Lis Mara-Vindecor for owner Michael Goldberg of Toronto, Ont. The photogenic campaigner now owns a 5-2-4 record from 15 trips postward this season. The 39-time winner is closing in on $300,000 in lifetime earnings.
