Watch 'The Stable's Open House Replay

Thestable.ca hosted a public Open House & Horse Sale on Sunday (November 26) at the Tomiko Training Centre, near Puslinch, Ont.

A video broadcast, featuring a drone camera over the racetrack, kicked off at 10:00 a.m. Fifty horses trained on the racetrack in sets of five. Some of North America’s top drivers guided the young colts and fillies, while pro TV commentators previewed the horses’ pedigrees and conduct interviews.

Thestable.ca is a racehorse ownership venture launched in 2015 by Anthony and Amy MacDonald. The Guelph couple own and train several Standardbred racehorses near Mohawk Racetrack. Anthony is also a prominent racehorse driver and a well-known harness racing industry advocate.

The MacDonalds built their 'fractional ownership' stable as a bridge — a way to welcome non-horse-people to racehorse ownership with a very modest investment (as low as $100), low-risk, and completely accessible and transparent operations.
