Truro Raceway is cancelling the live race card that was previously postponed from Friday evening to Sunday, Sept. 25.
Though relatively light damage compared to other areas of the county, province, and Atlantic region, there are safety hazards on the track right now that prevent Truro Raceway from safely moving forward with a race card.
Truro Raceway officials are grateful that no serious injuries have been reported so far and that its buildings and barns are intact with the exception of some doors and siding. Some trees have fallen across/onto the track and other areas of fence will need to be fixed as well.
