The final leg of the Atlantic Sires Stakes for three-year-old pacing fillies is set for Saturday (August 28) at Northside Downs.
Saturday's race provides the last opportunity for the fillies to earn points towards the Atlantic Breeders Crown Weekend. Points earned in each Atlantic Sires 'A' division pacing event go towards earning a spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championships, which takes place October 9 and 10 at Red Shores Charlottetown.
One $17,140 division of eight fillies will head behind the gate in the 10th race of the card.
Mystifying (Darryl Maclean) is the program favourite and sits at the top of the point standings. Elm Grove Penny (Marc Campbell) and Woodmere Vanish (Paul Langille) are the other top program picks.
There is one $3,000 B division for the fillies in Race 6.
The Nova Scotia Stake for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings is scheduled for Race 2. Five colts will race for a purse of $9,588.
First race post time at Northside Downs is 1 p.m.
