Limited Tickets Available For Canadian Hall Of Fame Gala

With the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame (CHRHF) Induction Gala just under four weeks away, the excitement is building as the 16 new Hall of Fame members and their connections finalize plans to celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime honour of reaching the pinnacle of their sport. 

The long-awaited event recognizing the CHRHF classes named in 2020 and 2021 is scheduled to take place the evening of Aug. 3, 2022 at the Mississauga Convention Centre.

Event co-hosts Jim Bannon, a Hall of Fame member himself in the communicator category, and Kelly Spencer, whose extensive resume includes co-hosting the O’Brien Awards as well as being the force behind the online trivia contest “Barn Cat Trivia,” will introduce Class of 2020 inductees Amour Angus (Standardbred Female Horse),Gary Boulanger (Jockey), Mike Keogh (Thoroughbred Trainer), Sue Leslie (Thoroughbred Builder), Paul MacDonell (Standardbred Driver), McWicked (Standardbred Male Horse), Play the King (Thoroughbred Veteran Horse), Rambling Willie (Standardbred Veteran Horse), Tepin (Thoroughbred Female Horse), Benjamin Wallace (Standardbred Trainer) and Man o’ War (Legend Honouree).  The Class of 2021 members include Jim Bullock (Standardbred Builder), Great Memories (Standardbred Female Horse), Heart To Heart (Thoroughbred Male Horse), Not Too Shy (Thoroughbred Veteran Horse), Vicki Pappas (Thoroughbred Builder) and Randall Waples (Standardbred Driver).

All inclusive event tickets are available for $225 per person (including HST) for an evening that includes a reception and silent auction beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by a four-course dinner with wine service, live auction and the induction ceremonies commencing at 6:30 p.m.

Tables for eight guests, plus a $400 donation to the CHRHF are available for $2,000, include HST and a $1,000 charitable tax receipt.
