Woodbine Entertainment has announced that live harness racing will resume this evening (June 9) at Woodbine Mohawk Park in Milton, Ont. Live Thoroughbred racing will also resume this afternoon at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto.
With the air quality health index for the Toronto and Milton area forecasted as ‘moderate-risk’ for Friday, June 9, Woodbine will proceed with live racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park. This decision is consistent with the guidelines the AGCO issued earlier this week.
As of Friday morning, the air-quality health index is forecasted to further improve into Saturday. Woodbine will continue to monitor the weather forecast and provide any updates as required.
Post time for tonight’s card at Woodbine Mohawk Park is 7 p.m. The card features two $35,000 Roses Are Red Stakes eliminations for older pacing mares and two $30,000 Goodtimes Stakes eliminations for three-year-old trotters.
