Officials with Kawartha Downs have informed Trot Insider that the track has been forced to cancel its 12-race card of live racing scheduled for today
(Thursday, April 28).
According to the officials, the cancellation is due to high winds in the area and a power outage at the track.
Earlier in the day, officials at Mohawk Racetrack were forced to cancel the track's qualifying session due to high winds and inclement weather conditions.
Trot Insider has not received any information regarding a make-up date at Kawartha, but will pass that information along as soon as it becomes available.
