Two Hall Of Famers On OSAS Board

The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society extends warm congratulations to board member Ian Fleming on his recent induction into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame.

It is an honour well deserved for the race secretary, administrator and marketer who several years ago introduced one of the most popular signature days at any North American racetrack, Clinton Raceway’s Legends Day.

Fleming joins fellow OSAS director Bill O’Donnell in the Canadian Hall. Known as "The Magic Man" during his superstar driving career, Bill is also a member of the United States Harness Racing Hall of Fame and Canada and Nova Scotia’s Sports Halls of Fame. Given that there are just five members on OSAS’s board of directors (along with Kelly Spencer, Heather MacKay and Jim Evans), OSAS is honoured to have two members of the Hall of Fame at the table. Both Fleming and O'Donnell are also board members of Standardbred Canada.

OSAS is an approved charitable organization founded in 1996 to assist in the adoption and relocation of retired and non racing harness horses within the province.
