A 12-1 upset by Dashintothebeach N and a 13-1 surprise by Ooh Rah in the first two legs of Wednesday night’s (Feb. 2) Pick-5 sequence at Yonkers Raceway were the keys to the wager not being hit.
As a result, when racing resumes on Thursday night (Feb. 3), there will be a $7,754.20 carryover and a $20,000 guaranteed pool in the sequence.
The guarantee in the Pick-5 is being offered as part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program. Free past performances for the Pick-5, courtesy of TrackMaster, will be available here. The Pick-5, which begins in race five, has a takeout rate of 20 per cent.
Thursday night’s 10-race card at Yonkers gets going at 6:55 p.m., and the feature is the $39,000 Fillies & Mares Open Handicap Pace.
