The sale catalogue and racelines for the upcoming Meadowlands January Select Mixed Sale are now available online.
Tattersalls has catalogued more than 250 horses for the sport’s most popular winter sale, which will be held in the Meadowlands race paddock on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 18. The catalogue is available at tattersallsredmile.com and on the Equineline sales app for iPad users.
Although short yearlings, broodmares and stallion shares will be offered, the sale -- as always -- is highly focused on racehorses. And according to sale manager David Reid, there are plenty of those that are currently winning, and will fit conditions across the board.
“Everyone knows that racehorses are in short supply, so I was extremely pleased with the turnout of high-quality horses for this sale,” Reid said.
“We have the section of ‘Magnificent Mares’ that feature stakes winners and open types that are currently racing and winning at the top levels, while many of our three-year-olds and older horses are those that you’ve seen post wins just recently at the major tracks,” he added.
Sale highlights include the $500,000-winning daughter of Somebeachsomewhere, Southwind Roulette, multiple stakes winning three-year-olds Yankee Bounty and Go Daddy Go, and fast, FFA trotters Master Of Law and Lindys Tru Grit.
