The 2012 Breeders Crown Two-Year-Old Colt Pace champion Rockin Amadeus has been retired and will stand stud at Cool Winds Farm in Lima, Ohio, for the 2015 breeding season.

The announcement came today from owner Lothlorien Farm and Cool Winds Farm manager Randy Haines.

In three seasons of racing, Rockin Amadeus earned $728,392 and took a record of 1:48.4f this year. In addition to winning the Breeders Crown, he is a multiple New Jersey Sire Stakes winner and raced 45 times over three years.

Rockin Amadeus is by Rocknroll Hanover and is out of the mare Kikikatie, which makes him a full brother to Rockin Image, currently standing in Indiana. Kikikatie has five foals, four of which have earnings greater than $500,000 and all five foals have records faster than 1:50.

Rockin Image p,3,1:48.2 ($901,756), whose oldest foals are two-year-olds of 2014, has already sired both the colt and filly winners of the two-year-old Indiana Sire Stakes, being the sire of filly Rockin Good p,2,1:53.2s ($181,250) and two-year-old colt Freaky Feet Pete p,2,1:50.3s ($261,950). Freaky Feet Pete won the final of the Indiana Sire Stakes by pulling away to an impressive 11 and a quarter-length margin of victory.

Rockin Amadeus will stand in Ohio for the 2015 breeding season at a $3,500 fee. Booking inquires can be made directly to Cool Winds Farm at 419-227-2665.
