A number of upsets on Friday night’s (Oct. 1) program at Yonkers Raceway, including a 49-1 stunner by Play The Field in the fifth race, led to the Pick 5 and Pick 6 both going unsolved.
As a result, there will be a $4,288.72 carryover and a $15,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick 5 and a $2,110.02 carryover in the Pick 6 on Saturday night’s (Oct. 2) card.
The guarantee in the Pick 5 is being offered as part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program. Free past performances for the Pick 5 will be available on the TrackMaster website. The Pick 5, which begins in Race 5, and the Pick 6, which gets underway in Race 3, each have a takeout rate of 20 per cent.
Saturday night’s 10-race card at Yonkers kicks off at 7:15 p.m. The feature, the $48,000 Open Handicap Trot, is the ninth event.
