They are at it again. Saint John’s partnership of Bob MacNeil and John Lavric have made another investment in the racing game. This time, they have acquired speedy down-under bred pacer Henschke A from David MacDonald, another huge supporter of Maritime racing.

According to Exhibition Park Raceway, the deal was sealed this week and the pacer is destined for EPR's top-class. MacNeil and Lavric have been huge supporters at different levels of the industry. MacNeil has been a vocal presence on the EPR backstretch for many years and have been a voice for the SJHHA.

Already tasting success with stakes-calibre pacers the likes of P H Dragonman and Elm Grove Action, the pair of owners has also found success with overnight pacers. First and foremost is the classy pacer Pitbull Hanover, the six-year-old Astreos gelding that competes in EPR’s top-class Saturday.

MacNeil and Lavric have also been active purchasing claiming pacers.
