Daburg ($2.10) was the fastest of five Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) two-year-old trotting stakes winners on Wednesday (Sept. 27) at Harrington Raceway with a 2:02.1 triumph.

The first of two $20,000 DSBF legs were contested with the top eight point earners returning to compete in the $110,000 final on Oct. 11.

Daburg (Pat Berry) assumed command near the opening quarter-mile and stayed there comfortably ready for a game late challenge by Going Platinum, who was second. DE Platinum was third. Daburg, a daughter of Anders Bluestone, improved to two-for-two lifetime for trainer Traci Berry. She is owned by James Craparotta and Pat Berry Racing.

Glide Along ($15, Cody Polseno) sprung an upset in the first filly division with a 2:02.3 win over favourite Marinos Prize and Wolfpack Wilma. Owned by Jane Dunavant, the Glidemaster filly made her first career start a winning one for trainer Carlo Poliseno.

Andrew Glassmeyer's Lovis Place ($9.60) and Montrell Teague won the final filly division in 2:04.3 over Platinum Proposal and Rip Away despite an early miscue. It was her first career start for her owner/trainer.

Ronnie Ridge ($3.40) and Victor Kirby won the first colt and gelding division in 2:04. Owned by Pam Wagner, the E L Platinum gelding led all the way for trainer/driver Kirby in achieving his first career win. Lgs Jaxon was second with Bonnies Blue Rock third.

The final DSBF division on the card went to Deborah Warnick's Royal Beep Beep ($12) and Allan Davis in 2:04.2. The Yankee Royalty gelding was a front end winner for trainer Jason Skinner over Its Oliver Now and Pulsator.

In the overnight feature, the $20,000 Open Trot, Nick Callahan, Yorwollahan Racing and Greg Godbout's Star Razor ($9.40, Corey Callahan) won his third straight race in 1:57.1 over Fifty Ways and Not For Moni. The five-year-old Dejarmbro gelding seized control early from post eight and appeared to be tiring in deep stretch, but held off all comers in a blanket finish for his fourth win of the season.
