DSBF Series Kicks Off At Harrington

 A trio of $20,000 of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes divisions for two-year-olds were contested on Monday at Harrington Raceway as the first leg of the series.

Beat Cop ($2.40, Tim Tetrick) was the fastest elimination winner with a 1:56.2 win over There Goes Bubba and Shocking Truth. Owned by Gretchen Roland, the Dragon King colt notched his fourth career win for trainer Chris Scicluna.

Come On Eddie ($19.20, Montrell Teague) was an impressive winner in the first division over Unexpected Twist and Rowdy Dragon. The Bob Clark trainee scored an impressive first-over win. Owned by Tina Clark and Gary Evans, the Classic Card Shark gelding registered his first lifetime victory in 1:58.

Cavalli Island ($5.20, Wolfenden) was a 1:57.1 winner in the final division over Sixftfornfulofmuscl and Better Dig Two. Owned by Ross Wolfenden, the Badlands Hanover gelding earned his first career win in his third lifetime start for his owner/trainer/driver.

In the $20,000 Open, Itsrockandroll A ($3.20, Allan Davis) won his seventh straight race in 1:52.1 for owners Elizabeth and Bret Brittingham. Despite post eight, the eight-year-old A Rocknroll Dance gelding was able to get away fourth early and gain confidently first-over before edging clear of pacesetter On The Cards N late for the win. Water Sports Teen was third. Donald Brittingham trains the winner.

Montrell Teague had four wins on the card, while Tony Morgan had a driving triple. Corey Callahan and Wolfenden each had a double.
