After a seven-week layoff from July 24 to September 11, Lucky Jim will make his return to the racetrack on Friday, September 17 in the $195,000 Credit Winner at Vernon Downs

.

Although his 1:54 qualifier at Chester Racetrack on September 11 was impressive with a final panel of 27.4, Lucky Jim, a five-year old son of SJs Photo--Hawaiian Sierra, will be facing some of the best trotters in North America.

Titan Cup Champion Enough Talk has been entered by the partnership of Peter Kleinhans and Jerry Silva after his second-place finish in the top trot at Vernon Downs last week. Trainer Kleinhans drove Enough Talk in the prep start last week, but has listed Jim Morrill, Jr. to take the lines in Friday night’s eighth race.

Also standing in the way of Lucky Jim will be superstar trotting mare Buck I St Pat, who will take on the boys for the fourth time in 2010. She defeated them at Georgian Downs in the Earl Rowe, finished third in the Titan Cup final at the Meadowlands, and took home her second straight Maxie Lee at Chester Racetrack on August 29. She made an unusual miscue behind the gate last week at Vernon Downs in the $150,000 Conway Hall Trot. She spotted the field 14 lengths at the quarter before trotting back into contention and finishing fourth, only beaten two and a half lengths, in 1:54.2. Trainer Ron Burke has listed usual pilot Tim Tetrick to do the driving on Friday night at Vernon Downs.

Nat Ray Champion Slave Dream is coming off back to back victories in the Nat Ray Invitational and Frank Ryan Memorial, and will make his first-ever start over Vernon's seven-eighth’s mile track. The five-year old son of Pearsall Hanover–Hungarie F has won two of seven seasonal starts for trainer Frank O'Reilly.
