It was an incredibly productive night at the office for Team Cullen during Monday’s 10-race card at Grand River Raceway.

Travis Cullen manufactured a five-bagger over the course of the evening, and three of those wins were supplied by trainer Jodie Cullen aka mom.

Wiggy got the ball rolling for Team Cullen thanks to her 1:59.3 triumph versus two-year-old foes in Race 3.  They also struck with Jewels Dragon in Race 10 and earlier in Race 5 – the $10,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace – with Outlaw Imahotvixen.

The eight-year-old daughter of Blue Burner-Fox Valley Cherish was a wire-to-wire winner in 1:55.2 over Black Betty and Artistic Meadow.

Travis also catch-drove Autumns Passion to a 1:57.3 victory in Race 6 followed by another catch-driving triumph behind Better Kissthe Men in 1:55 in Race 8.

A group of six faced the gate for the $11,000 Preferred Handicap Trot, with heavily-favoured Cool Muscle cruising to a handy victory in 1:56.2 for driver Scott Coulter and trainer Jessica Hayter.

The eight-year-old son of Muscle Mass-Canada Cool rode second over cover in the middle stages of the mile before using a :28.1 closing panel to win by 3-1/4 lengths over Willyorwonthe in 1:56.2.  Getting Serious was third.

Sent off as the 4-5 favourite, the gelding won for the second time this season – and for the 19th time in his career – for Jessica and Ed Hayter of Erin, Ont.  The trotter is quickly closing in on $250,000 in lifetime earnings.
