According to a report, two members of a union which represents workers at the Meadowlands Racetrack have asked a judge to nullify the contract which was reached between Jeff Gural and Local 137

.

The contract was imperative in Gural taking over control of the East Rutherford, New Jersey racetrack.

An article by The Star-Ledger explains that the two union members, Cathy Follo and Greg Tarantino, have stated that the contract reached between Gural and Local 137 of Laborers International Union of North America AFL-CIO was illegally approved.

According to The Star-Ledger, court papers cite Follo and Tarantino as alleging that union members had voted to table the contract on April 14, but that the union's executive board held secret meetings with Gural’s representatives and eventually approved the contract without a vote from the full membership.

Local 137 represents Meadowlands Racetrack tellers, cleaners, box office workers, window washers and money-room employees.
