Horse Racing New Brunswick will be the host of the province's biggest card of the 2022 racing campaign with a number of races that have been a tradition in New Brunswick taking place this Saturday (Sept. 3) at Exhibition Park Raceway.

The Saturday card will feature the $8,000 Rod Goguen Memorial free-for-all pace. Time To Dance captured last year's event, just missing the track record as he scored in 1:53.1 for Marc Campbell.

The Maritimer, one of the most prestigious three-year-old filly events in the Maritimes, will also go on Saturday along with the coveted Milton Downey Memorial Stakes for two-year-old colts and fillies.

The second leg of the Atlantic Aged Pacing Mares Series, sponsored by Standardbred Canada, will be contested as part of the marquee program, which is held in conjunction with the Atlantic National Exhibition that returns after a two-year hiatus.

Horsemen and women are reminded that the box closes for entries at 10 a.m. this Wednesday and there will also be a pot-luck for local and visiting horsepeople on the backstretch following Saturday's 1 p.m. card.
