Take Two For Rowe Memorial Sunday

Published: August 26, 2022 01:00 pm EDT

After a washout midway through last week's card, the $100,000 Earl Rowe Memorial Invitational is set to align this Sunday (Aug. 28) at Georgian Downs.

The entrants invited for the Rowe remain unchanged except for a slot belonging to trainer Luc Blais, who has taken Forbidden Trade out of the race with the Maple Leaf Trot looming. In his place, Blais pupil Mycrownmykingdom will go to the gate with Scott Young in the sulky.

Richard Moreau trainee Fashion Frenzie (pictured above) starts from Post 6 in pursuit of his fifth consecutive victory following three wins at Mohawk's top class. The two-time Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final champ and 2021 O'Brien Award winner will have Louis-Philippe Roy in the sulky as he looks to add to his $797,685 bankroll.

With the field redrawn for Georgian's feature race, the posts in which they will align appear below:

Horse Number-Name (Driver /Trainer) - Odds
1. Combs Hanover (Ed Hensley / Ashleigh Hensley) - 12-1
2. Gold Edition (Brett MacDonald / Blair Burgess) - 15-1
3. Mycrownmykingdom (Scott Young / Luc Blais) - 12-1
4. Patriarch Hanover (Doug McNair / Richard Moreau) - 8-1
5. Truffles Too (Chris Christoforou / Bill Budd) - 10-1
6. Fashion Frenzie (Louis-Philippe Roy / Richard Moreau) - 7-5
7. HP Mama B (Sylvain Filion / Jean Tourigny) - 3-1
8. White Tiger (James MacDonald / Dominic Gladu) - 15-1
9. Pikachu Hanover (Trevor Henry / Gregg McNair) - 4-1

COSA TV will return to Georgian on Sunday night with the live broadcast that was scheduled for last week's Rowe card, and the SC website will carry that feed when it's available.
