Well Said did not race last week and will skip the Cane Pace as he prepares for the Simcoe Stakes on September 12 in Ontario. Well Said last was seen winning the Battle of the Brandywine on August 16, his seventh victory in nine starts this season. “The owners wanted to give him a little bit of a break. It’s a long year, especially with the miles he has to go,” trainer Steve Elliott said.
