Think Of Galaxies pushed Coastal to an ambitious 1:21.4 three-quarters, then blew by her in the final turn to score in a career-best 1:50.1 in Wednesday’s $21,200 Filly & Mare Open Handicap Pace at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Coastal was bidding for her fourth straight, but when Think Of Galaxies on the lead wouldn’t release her, she was stuck outside past the three-eighths. That set the stage for the decisive move, as Think Of Galaxies brushed for Anthony MacDonald and defeated Darby Hanover, who rallied from last, by two lengths while Coastal saved show.

Tim Twaddle trains the winner, a five-year-old daughter of So Surreal-Lightning D Dube who extended her lifetime bankroll to $315,495, for Thestable Thinkofgalaxies Group.

Dave Palone collected six wins on the 13-race card, including three for trainer Ron Burke. That haul gives Palone 13 victories over the last two programs.

Thursday’s card at The Meadows features a pair of stakes for freshman filly pacers: a $162,460 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes leg and a $40,000 PA Stallion Series event. First post is 12:45 p.m.
