2023 TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable
Published: August 2, 2023 02:30 pm EDT

A major weekend in harness racing means there's a possibility for some major position changes in the 2023 TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable Contest.

As he did a month ago, Stratford, P.E.I's Randy Proud continues to set the pace in the contest with the highest earning stable to date. His Proud Stable is headlined by Meadowlands Pace winner Confederate, and top older mares Jiggy Jog S and Grace Hill. With a total stable bankroll exceeding $2.296 million, Proud boasts a lead of roughly $240,000 over pocket-sitting Joe Serratore and his Joe Ump stable.

The TROT Fantasy Stable Contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 26 and Dec. 31, 2023.

For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2023 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus. Also, in the two-year-old categories, contestants were allowed to select two horses.

At the end of the year, the first three finishers (based on total stable earnings) will be awarded betting vouchers in the amount of $500 (first place), $300 (second place) and $100 (third place).

Contest totals are updated daily at 11 a.m. (EDT).
