Pricevalleyrevitup survived an overland journey to notch his 25th career win in the $7,000 Randy Kerr Memorial Trot on Saturday evening at Hiawatha Horse Park.

Favourite Bringing Sexy Back (Gene Piroski) led the field of nine past fractions of :26.4 and :58.1 with CIS Buckeye (Terence Kerr) moving first up and providing the Chris Johnston-driven Pricevalleyrevitup with cover. As CIS Buckeye moved up alongside the leader, Pricevalleyrevitup fired three-high at the 1:27.3 third quarter station. He gained the upper hand in the stretch and found the wire just in time to score the 1:58.1 triumph. Twin B Rawley (Mark Williams), who had only the breaker beaten early on, closed well to finish second just a half-length behind the winner. Longshot Stolen Goods (Dean Wall) finished three-quarters of a length back in third over CIS Buckeye and Bringing Sexy Back.

The win gives Pricevalleyrevitup a perfect two-for-two record at the Sarnia oval, where he also won his 2012 qualifying debut in July. The bay gelding earned his other pari-mutuel win at Hiawatha in a Preferred event in August 2010.

Pricevalleyrevitup returned $12.40 to his backers as the 5-1 fourth choice. The six-year-old son of Revenue S, who is now two-for-three on the year, is trained by Randy Marriage for owner Jeffrey Peake of Ballinafad, Ont. He now has $323,860 banked in purse earnings.

Saturday's co-featured $7,000 Preferred 3 Pace went to first-time Sarnia starter Jackets Required and driver Gene Piroski, who rallied home from the backfield to win by half a length in 1:52.4 over Just Crowned (Alex Lilley). Royal Sir (Mark Williams), who cut out the race fractions of :26.3, :55.3 and 1:23.4, finished nearly four lengths behind in third.

Bob McIntosh trains the five-year-old son of Allamerican Ingot for his Robert McIntosh Stables Inc. of Windsor, Ont. and Al McIntosh Holdings Inc. of Leamington, Ont. The 12-time career winner, who has banked $230,528 in purses, paid $10.10 to win as the 4-1 third choice.
