Driver Todd Trites sent Good Friday Three to the lead in a game of 'catch me if you can' that they won without a challenge to take Truro Raceway's featured pace on Sunday afternoon (August 15).

Leaving from post five in the $2,000 Winners Over, Good Friday Three quickly opened up a few lengths on the lead through a :28.1 opening quarter. He was up by five lengths at the half in :57 and six lengths at three-quarters in 1:26.1 without a challenger in sight. The nine-year-old gelding cruised home from there a three-length winner in 1:57.1. The favoured Johnnywalkerdelux shot through up the inside to claim second-place honours over Lady N Paradise.

The win was the third in seven starts this season for Good Friday Three, who is trained by Don Ellis and owned by Debbie Ellis. The Mach Three gelding has now won 23 races and $119,382 lifetime.
