Thunder Alley led from gate-to-wire to win the Winners Over Pace at Northside Downs on Saturday (July 8) afternoon.

Gerard Kennedy was in the bike of the bettors' choice as they took their spot in post two in the field of five pacers, all gunning for their share of the $1,600 purse. Thunder Alley left heavy and secured the front spot real estate. He took the field through panels in :28.1, :58.1 and 1:27.3 before moving to a 1-1/4-length achievement in 1:56. Revenant (Shawn Lynk) followed the pocket trip to a second-place finish and Dontblvemejustwatch (Randy Getto) followed in third.

Thunder Alley is a seven-year-old gelding owned by Terri Morrison, Irwin Claener, Kirk Macrae and Angus Maceachern. A winner of 23 races, Thunder Alley has had three wins and one fourth in four starts this season. As the 3-4 favourite, he paid $3.50 to win.
