Fresh off his sweep of the Steve Wiseman Memorial, All American N ($4.20) posted his third win in a row at Running Aces, taking the $16,500 Open Handicap Trot on Sunday, July 3.

Driver Luke Plano, who enjoyed a Sunday grand slam, wasted no time in getting the favourite rolling toward the front from post seven. All American N had to work hard to get by Bordogna (Rick Magee) to take the lead right at the quarter pole.

After establishing command, the sharp son of Muscle Hill was always comfortable while Bordogna was a strong presence in the pocket and Silverhill Volo sat third.

In the lane, Bordogna tried to come after the leader but All American N had an answer and was able to stay in front to post a 1-1/2-length tally in 1:55.2. Silverhill Volo held third.

The winner is owned and trained by Maria Alvarez and races from the Williams Hernandez stable.

CR Promise To You turned in a big performance in the $19,800 Minnesota sophomore 'A' trot for her second win of the season.

It was one of three big wins on the card for driver Brady Jenson, who sent the sharp daughter of Tom Ridge right down the road from post three and did a perfect job of rating the fractions (:29.4, 1:00.1, 1:29.1) while Triggered (Mooney Svendsen) followed in the pocket and Poko Loki (Chip Lackey) travelled in third.

Jenson then stepped on the pedal in the final quarter and CR Promise To You ($5.40) delivered a :28.3 knockout punch that left her rivals 2-3/4 lengths behind at the finish in 1:57.4. Poko Loki tried hard to get by Triggered but the Banker Volo filly held firmly for second.

The winner is owned by Rick and Caroll Huffman and Keith Wilson, and is trained by Justin Anfinson.

Plano also piloted Vickies Vacation ($2.80) to her third win of the season in the $13,200 Minnesota sophomore 'B' split.

After getting away second from post two, Plano made an early move to the front just past the quarter and held firm control from there while Snap Krackle N Trot (Jenson) and Ice Master (Dean Magee) followed her around the oval in a 2:00.1 mile.

The winning margin was 2-1/2 lengths for the daughter of Banker Volo, who is owned by Jeralene Roland and Vickie Rush, and trained by Dan Roland.

Live racing returns to Running Aces on Tuesday (July 5) with first post at 7 p.m. (CDT) and the card will feature a pair of carryovers, including $2,542.20 for the 20-cent Pick-5 Jackpot wager and $1,108.98 for the 50-cent Hi-5 wager.
