Cavin Hanover Stays Perfect For McCabe

Cavin Hanover went wire-to-wire to win the featured $8,500 Preferred 3 Pace at Hiawatha Horse Park on Saturday evening and earn his third consecutive victory since joining the Andrew McCabe stable in mid-June

.

With Don Rankin Jr. in the bike, the six-year-old Camotion gelding left from Post 8 and cruised through fractions of :27.1, :57.1 and 1:25.1 en route to the one and a half length victory in 1:54.4. Larjon Barty (Greg Dustin) followed for second while Sf Terrific Kisser (Tim Driver) advanced first over to show.

Cavin Hanover was claimed for $10,000 at Kawartha Downs on June 16 by Glenview Livestock Ltd. of Wallenstein, Ont., Leonard Lc Christopher of Acton, Ont., and Bill Manes of Rockwood, Ont. He has since was three consecutive races at Georgian Downs, Kawartha Downs and now Hiawatha Horse Park. He is now 10-for-18 this year with $43,986 earned and sports 21 wins from 74 starts lifetime with total earnings of $107,861.

Cavin Hanover paid $5.70 to win as the bettor's choice.
